This is a 540 amp EXTERNALLY REGULATED alternator for GM applications. External regulator Is included, it comes with our single channel external regulator. 

expect 240-250 amps at idle depending on idle rpm.

DO NOT purchase this alternator if it’s something you plan on driving / daily driver - these are a competition ONLY alternator made for running lanes / burps etc - these are not made for demo vehicles. The chances of overheating an alternator with this much output is higher than any other unit - it’s not unreliable - we just like making sure people running alternators for demo vehicles have the appropriate output alternators for their application.
