This lovely pendant is a work of art and has everything you could possibly want from a piece of Native American jewelry! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Jeanette Saunders, out of genuine sterling silver and a real Turquoise stone. The stone is carefully set in a hand cut bezel, while hand cut silver work creates a gorgeous wolf design. Imprinted designs, and mini silver beads accent the pendant for a remarkable finish. The pendant is stamped .925 (sterling) and hallmarked.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.
