CAD DESIGN: Supporting JT's vital sector shaft, this brace provides additional protection for the thick 3/8" formed steel steering components. The Sector Shaft Brace is CAD designed, laser cut and attached to the crossmember, allowing it to be attached to the crossman bar rather than adding force to an already stressed frame section. Mounting: When mounted on a crossmember, the force load is split between the frame alone and assisted by the strength of the crossmember. On the other hand, by mounting the brace on the opposite side from the steering box, the box will not be pulled away from the frame, taking the stress off the steering box bolts and reducing unnecessary stress on the frame. No Wear Points: High-load oil-filled bronze bushings have no wear points on the surface and provide 100% contact without the problems seen with inferior braces that use needle bearings. Bronze bushings offer higher load ratings than comparable needle bearings (3500 lbs vs. 3500 lbs dynamic radial load) and are completely service-free and provide long-lasting performance.
