Italy reached the final of the 1994 USA World Cup after an impressive campaign through the knockout stages, which included a thrilling 2-1 Quarter-Final win over Spain. They were disappointed to ultimately lose the 1994 World Cup final to Brazil, in a penalty shootout that ended 2-3. The marquee players from Italy’s 1994 World Cup team that wore this kit include Franco Baresi, Paolo Maldini, and Roberto Baggio. 

Italy’s national football team are known as the Azzuri for their distinct blue kits. The Italian football federation unveiled a new badge with this shirt; the badge features a leaning rectangle and circle that combine to form a lowercase “i” for Italy. The badge is displayed prominently on the chest and its outline is also woven throughout the fabric of the shirt. Along the collar and trim of each sleeve, red, white, and green triangles pay homage to the Italian flag.
