Our Wheated Bourbon is known for its soft, approachable warmth; a natural gentleness that comes from wheat taking the place of rye in the mash. For this Experimental Series release, we paired that warmth with something equally sun-soaked and storied: Vino de Naranja casks from Spain, a tradition rooted in the slow, oxidative aging of wine with fragrant orange peel.

Resting for 14 months, those casks left their mark. Threading notes of charred orange, salted caramel, and baked pear through the bourbon's already velvety grain. The result is layered and a little unexpected: warm spice meeting candied citrus, caramel giving way to something more contemplative. Two traditions, distinct in origin, finding a quiet and delicious accord.

This is a spirit worth sitting with, and for now, it's only available at Castle & Key.
