This is a terrific Prehnite pseudomorph after Laumontite specimen with translucent, lustrous, rectangular Apophyllite crystals and a layer of snowy looking, silky Mordenite. Crystallized Prehnite replaced prismatic crystals that were once Laumontite. A less common mineral occurrence. 144 grams. Free domestic shipping. Click to buy!
This fine specimen features fascinating finger-like stalks, some stalactite-like, of pale, light blue-green Prehnite. Crystallized on both sides, presenting as a epimorph; looking like where the Laumontite dissolved, leaving a cast appearance on the underside of the specimen. Good sparkle to the Prehnite! A very aesthetic specimen for your collection. Mineral collectors believe the availability of specimens of this type will be more and more rare as time passes.
