Flex-a-lite has developed a variable speed control that operates the engine cooling fan. Variable Speed ​​Control (VSC) can be set from 160 degrees to 220 degrees and senses cooling temperature through the radiator core. VSC varies fan speed from 60 to 100 percent depending on engine cooling needs. When the air conditioner is on, the fan runs at 60%. VSC has a built-in 5 second delay to reduce charging spikes during startup and a 30 second delay after shutdown if additional cooling is required. Flex-a-lite's manual switch terminal turns off the electric fan through the water.
