This amazing brooch was featured in the 1968 Sarah Coventry catalogue (see last image) and was described as 

“A deep amber color glass center stone catches and reflects the light in this striking pin with its dimensional, yet gracefully beautiful setting. A perfect fashion accent for those beige to brown tones… yet lovely on most any color.”

Sarah Coventry was a luxury costume jewellery brand sold exclusively at home jewellery parties in the USA. The company was founded by Lyman K Stuart in 1949 who named the brand after his granddaughter, Sarah. Sarah Coventry became the largest direct selling jewellery company in the world during the sixties and early seventies.
