Lovely vintage signed Coro brooch from the 1960's. The design features a lovely brushed "florentine" gold tone feather design. An elegant and timeless piece of statement jewellery.
Coro was founded in 1901 by Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger and became one of the biggest costume jewellery manufacturers of the 20th century. They were well known for their high quality, affordable pieces and were often featured in popular magazines of the time such as Harpers Bazaar and Vogue. Coro was particularly famous for inventing the 'Duette"clips in 1935 - 2 dress clips that could be combined on a special frame to create a brooch. The company was acquired by Oscar De La Renta in the 1970s.
