Dress & Vest Sewing Pattern

The Asteri pattern includes two options: a stylish vest top, and an elegant sleeveless midi dress. Both variations are unlined, and feature a V-neckline and buttoning at the front. The vest has distinctive patch pockets, and the dress comes with discreet in-seam side pockets. The pleats on the dress waist give a nice volume to the pencil skirt, while the split back hem ensures comfort. The vest has more ease at the waist, which you can adjust with the tab at the back.

Fabric Suggestions: For either variation, choose a light to medium-weight non-stretch fabric with low drape. Avoid heavy fabrics, as they make the garment more difficult to sew. Various linen and cotton fabrics are well suited for this garment. The fabric requirements include a 5% allowance for shrinkage. Note that the fabric consumption may be greater for fabrics with a pattern and for fabrics that need to be cut in one direction.
