Complete air conditioning and heating system for Jeep CJs with a 4.2 liter inline six cylinder engine with V-belts. The 4.2 Liter six cylinder was used on CJs and Wranglers from 1980-1990, this bracket will fit the 258 or the 4.2 liter in the CJ's. This is a complete air conditioning kit that will add a/c and heat to a CJ. If your CJ has a faulty heater, or no heater this is the kit to replace all the old parts under the dash. The kit requires the removal of the entire heating system that is behind the dash. The kit is designed to work with R-134a refrigerant. The defrost is a diffuser we add to the evaporator / heating unit that allows the duct hose to run to the original defrost outlets. This kit will NOT work on a 4.2 liter engine with a serpentine belt. The kit includes:

• Brand new compressor with oil and clutch assembly
• Parallel flow condenser
• Oring drier
• Compressor bracket with bolt kit, belt, pulley and directions
• High low pressure switch
• Evaporator unit with heater, mounting hardware, controls, heater control valve, and expansion valve
• A/C hoses
• All necessary hardware for installation and directions.

The kit can be installed in one day, and includes all the necessary parts except the refrigerant to charge it, and the heater hoses. This a/c system is the most complete available in the aftermarket, and is guaranteed to be the highest quality. Please keep in mind that the under dash is a universal style unit that may require additional modifications to the brackets to secure it under your dash. If you are uncomfortable with this please let us know and we can recommend other alternatives. If you do not have the factory fan shroud it is highly recommend that you install an auxiliary condenser fan. We have those listed for sale as well.
