Medium to full-bodied, the wine opens to a tightly tannic edge that firms up and narrows across the mid-palate, with a dusty, mineral essence and notions of smoked red peppers, bitter dark chocolate and sage. Sadly, the Camaspelo ends with a clipped, mineral-driven finish that loses freshness and vibrancy, concluding with an astringent aftertaste.
