Unusual design vintage sterling silver watch fob with a rose gold cartouche and stylised flower details. It has clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1932 and has makers mark R.P for Robert Pringle & Sons of Clerkenwell Rd, London, EC1. It has a large original silver jump ring with the lion passant for English silver and has a blank rose gold cartouche on the front and a blank back which is unusual in watch fobs of this era. This watch fob is in excellent vintage condition and has a real weight to it.

It would look great on either a silver or gold chain or a pearl multiway necklace from my Chains and Pearls collection to create a unique and special necklace.

A fob is an adornment or a seal that hung from the ribbon or chain of a Gentleman's pocket watch. Its purpose was to decorate or add weight to the watch chain. Watch fob pendants were often given as prizes or to commemorate a special occasion or event.

 The watch fob measures 4cm x 2.5cm inclusive of the ring.
