Non-Woven Wallcovering with 3D Lacquer Ink

The design for Guli originates from Liesl Monath’s Guli Mask woodblock print, inspired by her time in Nigeria and her fascination with African art and symbolism. The Vale London extracted the textured ground from the original artwork, a rhythmic field of marks and crosses, and reimagined it as a modern, architectural pattern.

Printed on a non-woven ground with dimensional lacquer ink, Guli highlights the raised stripe of crosses, adding subtle depth and tactile movement to the surface. Available in three colours, Guli captures the spirit of Liesl’s global influences through a distinctly contemporary lens.
