The transition period for dairy cows and the start of breeding season are peak times of the calendar year for metabolic stress in cows. Cows are often in negative energy balance and / or metabolic acidosis, which in turn leads to a knock-on effect of poor fertility, lower milk yield to poor rumen function. Rumen health is the main driver of immunity in cows, so the risk of immunosuppression increases during these periods. By feeding Rumen Proof it addresses these challenges in dairy cows as well as beef cattle by regulating rumen PH to control acidosis and increasing energy levels at the same time.
