Espom grain features larger blocks and deeper embossing, performing especially well on large leather goods. When used on tote bags, briefcases, and luggage, it fully showcases its strong presence and layered texture, delivering a more powerful visual impact than fine-grain patterns.
Highly Durable · Conceals Scratches
The deep embossed texture acts as a natural “scratch concealer”—the height differences between raised and recessed areas help hide everyday wear and minor scratches, making them barely noticeable. Even with frequent use, the leather maintains its attractive appearance over time.
Minimal Daily Maintenance
Embossed leather features a well-finished protective surface with good water and stain resistance. For daily care, simply wipe with a slightly damp soft cloth to keep it clean. It requires no frequent maintenance, making it one of the most hassle-free leather types.
-
Will the embossed pattern fade with use?
No. The embossing is permanently pressed into the leather surface using high heat and pressure, so it will not fade under normal use. Only extreme conditions such as prolonged soaking or high temperatures may affect the texture, which is not a concern in everyday use.
-
What is the difference between Espom grain and lychee grain?
The texture patterns are completely different. Lychee grain features round pebble-like raised dots resembling lychee skin. Espom grain consists of irregular polygonal blocks separated by recessed lines, resembling palm lines or cracked tree bark. Espom grain has a bolder and more rugged appearance, while lychee grain is rounder and fuller. Both are similar in durability and ease of maintenance.
-
Is embossed leather genuine leather?
Yes. Our embossed leather uses full-grain cowhide as the base material, with the texture created through high-temperature, high-pressure steel plate embossing. The embossing only changes the surface texture—the base remains 100% genuine leather, retaining its strength, breathability, and durability.
-
Will the color differ from the pictures?
Slight variations may occur. Natural leather absorbs dye differently depending on the section of the hide, and screen display differences can also affect appearance. This is normal for genuine leather. Embossed leather generally shows less color variation than smooth leather due to its more uniform surface finish.
-
Can thickness, size, or color be customized?
Yes. We support bulk customization. Please contact us for details; minimum order quantities apply.

How should embossed leather be maintained?
Embossed leather is one of the easiest leather types to maintain. For daily care, simply wipe dust and stains with a slightly damp soft cloth. Avoid prolonged sun exposure and high temperatures, as these may affect the embossed structure. For deeper care, apply a thin layer of leather care lotion and avoid heavy oils or waxes.
