Who's this item for: While it's labelled as a Road Cycling helmet, the POC Octal is actually a great helmet for anyone wanting a visor-free helmet with optimal protection and lots of ventilation.

Construction: The helmet uses a reinforced EPS liner and a unibody, in-mould polycarbonate shell construction to maximise the structural integrity while keeping the weight nice and low.

Rotational liner: The MIPS Brain Protection System enhances rotational impact protection when a low-friction layer slides 10 to 15 mm in all directions, reducing rotational motion to the brain during impact

Straps: The straps are adjustable and use a standard quick-release buckle.

Retention System: The size adjuster spans the circumference of the head for a secure, comfortable fit and a single dial is provided at the rear for easy adjustments even while riding.

Ventilation: The instantly recognisable ventilation design is optimized for airflow at any speed. There are over 20 large vents in the POC Octal and the helmet also provides an eye garage in the front ventilation ports to give you secure storage for your sunglasses while riding.

Padding: Nothing fancy to call out here but the helmet does have some nice comfy padding inside.

Visor: There is no Visor on the POC Octal, nor any facilities to fit one later.
