The Process

This DIY Zip Pouch Kit is ideal for ALL - from total beginners to confident makers - you CAN make your own luxury leather pouch at home.

This is a perfect introductory DIY bag making kit to start your journey into leather work and bag making and arrives complete with everything you need to get started.

Have fun learning the basics of leather craft (for accessories), with introduction to techniques including: application of wax and edge finishing, inserting a zip, hand stitching on leather, and pouch construction. Simply follow the included step-by-step instructions to craft your own leather pouch / clutch. And, most importantly, enjoy the process. 

Inside your kit, you will find pre-cut leather pieces which require you to finish with a wax (included). You will finish the leather with a wax included in the pack and sew the leather to the zip to complete the pouch. 

If you have a small flat head screwdriver, this will be helpful, although it is not essential.

To make the kit suitable for home construction, some work has been done for you. Don’t worry though, there is still plenty left for you to turn your creative energy to. 

The Pouch

The zip pouch / clutch has a zip top closure. It is a raw edge construction to give a classic look and completed in a buttery soft vegetable-tanned leather which results in a supple but structured piece. 

The pouch is unlined meaning you can enjoy the natural grain and quality of the beautiful Tuscan leather. 

The size provides ample space for all your on-the-go essentials.

The dimensions of the zip pouch are H 160mm x W 240mm x D 7mm, and it will be the same construction as the pouch in the product photos.

There are NO ADDITIONAL COSTS. All tools, leather, hardware and products will be included in the kit. There is a selection of leather and hardware colours for you to choose from, and if you require a bespoke colour please get in touch as we may be able to help.

The DIY bag making kit contains:

1. Pre-cut and pre-punched leather pieces ready to use
2. A pot of homemade wax and a soft cloth
3. Metal hardware of your choice
4. Needle and black thread
5. Unique 'Made by' card
6. Instruction booklet
