It is said to be wary of a strange cat who crosses your path, for it may not be a cat at all but perhaps a witch's familiar - or even a witch themselves!

The same is also said for other various creatures of the wood such as the owl or toad. Creatures of the dark and damp who aid a witch in magic; happy to lend their supernatural assistance. Familiars are loyal and guiding guardian and protectors, and one would be wary of crossing paths with one less than catch a witch's attention or ire.

This "Toad Familiar" ring is handcrafted out of fine and sterling silver, weighing approximately .50 ounces. It measures 1.75" x .75" at widest points and rests on the patterned, split band as shown above. It fits a size 5.5. It offers one of my favorite witch hats I've made to date and a piece of bright pink tourmaline as a "witch's eye".
