This compact audio interface is engineered for productions that demand pristine sound quality, flexible connectivity and seamless integration with modern broadcast switchers. Designed to expand the microphone capability of systems that rely on a MADI audio link, it connects directly to the MADI port of compatible switchers without the need for additional configuration. Once connected, its four analogue inputs become part of the multi‑channel digital audio stream and can be combined with additional units through simple daisy chaining, allowing scaling for larger microphone setups.
Each of the four analogue inputs supports both XLR and TRS connections, making it suitable for microphones, wireless receivers and line level devices. Inputs can be switched between mic and line level and include 48V phantom power for condenser microphones. The signal path has been designed around extremely low noise, fixed gain analogue front end circuitry. Rather than relying on variable gain preamplifiers, each analogue channel feeds a bank of eight high dynamic range audio ADCs that operate collectively. This architecture produces an exceptional dynamic range of 131 dB(A) and eliminates gain step noise, clicks or artefacts that can occur in conventional preamplifier designs. Distortion remains impressively low at just 0.002 percent even at full scale. The converter therefore delivers audio that is clean, consistent and surprisingly detailed, even in challenging environments.
When handling multiple devices, its MADI input allows converters to be stacked so that their audio channels occupy consecutive positions in the overall digital audio stream. This enables large scale multi‑microphone productions to route all signals through a single MADI link with minimal setup complexity. The HDMI monitoring output provides a clear visual overview of levels, names and settings, including waveform history for up to sixteen channels. This is invaluable for engineers who need to monitor input quality at a glance while working on location or during live events.
The unit supports configuration over USB‑C or Ethernet using free software utilities for macOS and Windows. Hardware switches allow physical control of input type and phantom power. With robust build quality, a 12 V locking power connection and compatibility with a wide range of broadcast systems, it provides a scalable and dependable audio expansion solution for professional workflows.
