Bollinger R.D. 2004 (Recently Disgorged) Extra Brut
Bollinger R.D. 2004 is a vintage champagne that shows everything the house stands for depth, precision, and character. It’s made from 66% Pinot Noir and 34% Chardonnay, all from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards.
The wine was fermented in small oak barrels and then aged for over 12 years on its lees before being disgorged shortly before release. That long aging gives it richness and complexity, while the recent disgorgement keeps it fresh and lively.
The aromas open with ripe fruit, toasted bread, honey, and a touch of spice. The palate is full and structured, with notes of dried fruit, citrus, and a clean, slightly salty finish. With a low dosage of under 5 g/L, it’s dry, focused, and beautifully balanced.
A serious, age-worthy champagne that still feels vibrant and alive classic Bollinger craftsmanship in a great vintage.
