This compact, flash‑based network storage solution is designed for professional film and television environments that require fast, reliable shared access to large media files. Built specifically for collaborative workflows, it delivers extremely low latency and consistent performance even when multiple editors, colourists, audio engineers and VFX artists are working simultaneously. The system is engineered to remove the complexity of traditional IT storage while providing the speed needed for modern post‑production.

Internally, the unit uses four high‑performance M.2 flash memory cards operating together in a parallel RAID 0 configuration, providing a total capacity of 16 TB. This architecture ensures very high sustained throughput and instant access times, making it suitable for demanding formats such as high‑resolution digital cinema footage and multicam timelines. Because the storage core is fully solid‑state, performance remains stable regardless of how many users are accessing media at the same time.

High‑speed networking is provided via a 10 Gbit Ethernet connection, allowing workstations to take full advantage of the internal flash bandwidth. An additional 1 Gbit Ethernet port is included for slower computers or for connecting to external networks and the internet. Setup and maintenance are intentionally simple, with a USB‑C port that supports Ethernet over USB for configuration, software updates and direct access without specialised network hardware. 

Native integration with Blackmagic Cloud enables seamless global collaboration. Media can be synchronised automatically between multiple locations so that each site works from a fast local copy of the same files. Proxy workflows are fully supported, allowing timelines to become available almost immediately while original camera files continue to sync in the background. This dramatically improves turnaround times while keeping bandwidth usage efficient. 

Monitoring and system status are handled through an HDMI output that displays real‑time information such as storage usage, network throughput, user activity and cloud synchronisation state. A clear front‑panel status indicator provides immediate visual feedback, signalling normal operation or alerting users to disk or power issues. The rack‑mount design remains compact, whisper‑quiet and portable, making it suitable for studios, machine rooms or on‑set installations.
