This advanced handheld digital film camera is designed to deliver true cinematic image quality in a portable and highly adaptable form. At the heart of the system is a Super 35 HDR sensor with a native resolution of 6144 by 3456 pixels, capable of capturing images with rich color depth, natural skin tones and a wide dynamic range of 13 stops. Dual native ISO values of 400 and 3200 ensure clean results across a broad range of lighting conditions, from controlled studio setups to demanding low light environments. 

An active EF lens mount provides access to a vast ecosystem of photographic and cinema lenses, with full electronic control of iris, focus and zoom on compatible optics. This flexibility allows users to tailor the visual style precisely while maintaining direct, tactile control from the camera body. The design focuses on efficient handheld operation, with a multifunction grip placing key controls such as ISO, white balance and shutter settings within immediate reach. 

The integrated 5 inch capacitive LCD offers a Full HD resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels and features an adjustable tilt mechanism, enabling comfortable monitoring and precise focus from high, low or unconventional shooting angles. Combined with the option to add an OLED electronic viewfinder, the system adapts easily to a wide range of production styles and working preferences.

Recording is supported in Blackmagic RAW and ProRes formats across multiple resolutions and frame rates, including high speed capture up to 120 frames per second in windowed modes. Media options include internal CFast and SD UHS II card slots as well as direct recording to external drives via the high speed USB C port. Professional audio workflows are supported through dual mini XLR inputs with phantom power, alongside a 3.5 mm stereo input that can also be used for timecode.

A larger NP F570 battery improves operating time for extended shooting sessions, while a highly accurate internal timecode generator ensures reliable synchronization during post production. Extensive metadata support, including embedded 3D LUTs, allows seamless integration into professional workflows powered by DaVinci Resolve Studio, which is included with the camera.
