This compact half‑rack video router is designed to add flexible input expansion to professional SDI workflows while maintaining zero‑latency performance. Supporting simultaneous SD, HD and Ultra HD signals, it integrates seamlessly into modern broadcast, live production and mobile rack environments. All connections use 12G‑SDI, ensuring compatibility with formats up to 2160p60 and providing a future‑proof solution for evolving production requirements.
Six rear‑panel 12G‑SDI inputs allow multiple sources to be connected at once, each with automatic multi‑rate detection for SD‑SDI, HD‑SDI, 6G‑SDI and 12G‑SDI signals. Two dedicated 12G‑SDI outputs deliver stable signals to downstream equipment, supported by full SDI reclocking on all outputs to maintain signal integrity over longer cable runs. Integrated input re‑synchronisation on all six inputs enables clean switching, ensuring stable transitions even when connected sources are not perfectly timed.
Reference connectivity is included via tri‑sync or black burst input, with a loop‑through reference output. This allows clean switch outputs to be locked to house sync, making the unit suitable for studio environments where timing accuracy is critical. Unlike traditional routers, clean switching is selected per output rather than per input, allowing the same source to be routed cleanly to one destination while remaining a direct feed to another.
The front panel is designed for fast, practical operation in real‑world scenarios. Dedicated routing buttons provide immediate cut‑bus style switching without external control panels. A front‑panel 12G‑SDI input enables emergency patching of temporary or unexpected equipment, overriding one rear input for rapid response. In addition, a mirrored 12G‑SDI output and a USB‑C webcam output are provided on the front, allowing professional SDI sources to be connected directly to computers for streaming, conferencing or capture.
Ethernet connectivity enables remote control using the free Videohub software on macOS and Windows, as well as compatibility with hardware control panels. USB‑C is also used for firmware updates and configuration. With its compact form factor, clean switching capabilities and extensive format support, this router is ideal for OB vans, flypacks and space‑constrained studios that demand professional performance.
