The ant labyrinth offers both beginner and experienced ant keepers a unique way to stimulate their colony's natural exploratory behavior. 
This thoughtful design extends the distance between the nest and the feeding area, creating a more natural and challenging environment for your ants.

The labyrinth is an original and fun design that allows you to observe your exploring ants as they travel a longer distance, making it ideal for connecting the foraging area to the nest. 

The labyrinth lets you track the pheromone trail deposits and see how long it takes for scouts to cross it. This enhances the observation experience, allowing you to follow the ants through the clear cover. Once the pheromone trails are laid down, the ants instantly recognize the path to the exit, which is fascinating to watch.

Although the labyrinth is compact, measuring just 5x15 cm, the ants can traverse a distance equivalent to a straight line of up to 38 cm!

Using a maze in your ant setup encourages the ants to engage in their natural exploration behavior and strengthens their teamwork, promoting both their mental and physical well-being. By creating a longer distance between the nest and the food, you slow down the food transport time and help prevent overfeeding..

-a PLA labyrinth (3D printed) measuring (outer nest)  5x15cm.
-a separate cold white removable inner part made of PLA (3D printed)
-a 3mm transparent acrylic cover
-8 nest ports (6 closed ports to seal extra openings and 2 open port to connect the labyrinth to an outworld )

•Expandable and customizable: With the included nest doors, you can open or close passages, allowing you to control and adjust the movement of the ants.
• The white removable inner part is perfect if the exterior is a different color than white, 
so that you can always see the ants clearly, and its removable so it's easy to clean with lukewarm water.
• The acrylic cover is secured with Allen screws mounted in copper threads, 
so that making disassembly easy for a task, like cleaning the nest.
• The port with an opening can accommodate a small tube (OD 10mm) or a large tube (ID 12mm) (not included) so that you always find the perfect tube for your setting.
• The labyrinth features six extra openings (10mm) that allow for expansion, so that adding a extra module is very easy

•OPTIONS
The nest is available in multiple colors, so there is always a colour you prefer.

• OUR MODULAR SYSTEM
This Natural Nest is an integral part of our modular system, ensuring that you only invest in components that will remain useful as your ant colony grows. The modular system is easily expandable with other components. All modules have dimensions of 5 cm or multiples thereof (this one, for instance, is 5x15).

-Never place your ant farm in direct light, sunlight, or near strong light sources.
-The item may be made of materials like glass, acrylic, ceramic, or other fragile substances. Please handle your package with care while unpacking.

-Not suitable for children to play with or use without adult supervision.
