This rack‑mount monitoring converter is designed for professional broadcast and live production environments that need reliable viewing of SDI or SMPTE ST 2110 IP signals on modern HDMI displays. It bridges traditional 12G‑SDI infrastructures and IP‑based workflows with high precision, making it ideal for control rooms, technical monitoring positions and mobile production units. By combining baseband and IP inputs in a single device, it simplifies signal routing while maintaining full broadcast quality. 

The unit accepts both 12G‑SDI and SMPTE ST 2110 IP video, automatically converting incoming signals to HDMI for monitoring. It supports the full range of SD, HD, 2K, Ultra HD and DCI 4K formats up to 2160p60, ensuring compatibility with current and future production standards. A built‑in 3D LUT system allows accurate colour calibration of connected HDMI monitors, which is essential for critical viewing and confidence monitoring in broadcast environments. 

Audio handling is equally comprehensive. Up to 16 channels of embedded audio are supported on SDI and IP inputs, while HDMI outputs can carry up to 8 embedded channels. In addition, the converter includes two balanced XLR analog audio outputs with adjustable gain and delay, allowing direct connection to professional audio monitoring systems. A front‑panel speaker and a 6.35 mm headphone output provide convenient local audio monitoring without the need for external equipment.

Network connectivity is provided via a single 10 Gb Ethernet port that supports SMPTE ST 2110 video, audio and ancillary data. This connection is also used for configuration, firmware updates and system management. A USB‑C port adds further flexibility by providing a webcam output up to 1080p60, enabling easy integration with computers for streaming, conferencing or capture applications. The front panel features an LCD display showing video, audio meters and menu settings, allowing engineers to quickly confirm signal status and adjust configuration directly at the unit. 

Designed for reliability and precision, this monitoring solution supports full ancillary data pass‑through, including timecode and closed captions, and complies with a wide range of SMPTE standards. Its compact rack‑mount design makes it easy to integrate into existing installations while supporting the transition to IP‑based production workflows.
