A Hydro/temp sensor Nest for Your Ant Colony

This nest has a nice size to further expand your colony.
With multiple exits, it's easy to expand the nest even further as needed.
You can enlarge it with other modules, or even place a heating cable underneath using our optional nest legs.
It has a built-in thermo and humidity sensor to easily keep an eye on everything, even when your not home using the "Mi Home app"

Included in this set:
- A PLA nest (3D printed) measuring 10x15cm
height of the nest (without feet) is 22mm
- A separate white removable inner part made of PLA (3D printed)
- A 3mm transparent plexiglass cover with holeS for nest humidification
- 5 nest ports:
• 4 closed ports to seal extra openings
• 1 open port to connect the nest to an external world
- 2 Melamine Sponge for effective moisture absorption
- 2 Stainless steel mesh to keep ants out of the reservoir
- a Xiaomi Bluetooth Temperature Humidity Sensor Module.
• The sensor has a 1.5-inch LCD and digital display
• Measuring range temperature 0 - 60°C

• The screen of the Mi Thermo-hygrometer 2 consumes extremely
little energy. One button cell battery provides enough power for
approximately one year for peace of mind
• The Thermo-hygrometer has a built-in high-precision digital temperature
and condensation sensor from Swiss Sensirion. This sensor quickly detects
floating temperature changes of up to 0.1 °C and distributed variations of up
to 1% relative influences and notifies you immediately.

• The white removable inner part is perfect if the exterior is a different color than white, ensuring you can always see the ants clearly.
• The plexiglass is secured with Allen screws mounted in copper threads, making disassembly easy for tasks like cleaning the nest.
• The port with an opening can accommodate a small tube (OD 10mm) or a large tube (ID 12mm) (not included).
• The humidification chamber is filled with Melamine Sponge for efficient moisture absorption. Excess moisture drains from the sides to prevent it from entering the nest. The stainless steel mesh keeps ants out of the reservoir and can be easily cleaned or replaced if necessary.

This Natural Nest is an integral part of our modular system, ensuring that you only invest in components that will remain useful as your ant colony grows. The modular system is easily expandable with other components. All modules have dimensions of 5 cm or multiples thereof (this one, for instance, is 10x15).
